Boynton Beach Storage Facility Employee Accused of Stealing Nearly $100,000 in Customer Property
BOYNTON BEACH, FL — An employee at a local self-storage facility in Boynton Beach has been arrested after allegedly using his position to steal nearly $100,000 worth of property from rented storage units. The suspect, whose identity was disclosed following an investigation by the Boynton Beach Police Department, is facing multiple counts of grand theft and burglary.
According to police reports, the investigation began when several customers reported missing items from their units, despite there being no visible signs of forced entry. An internal audit and review of security logs revealed that the employee had used master keys and access codes to enter the units during his shifts over several weeks.
