Burglars Steal ATM from Mexican Restaurant in Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Police are investigating a commercial burglary that took place at a Mexican restaurant in Bridgeport, where thieves managed to steal an entire automated teller machine (ATM).

According to authorities, the incident occurred in the early hours of the morning. Video footage from the scene shows multiple suspects forcing entry into the establishment. Once inside, the perpetrators targeted the ATM, successfully detaching it and loading it into a vehicle before fleeing the scene.

Detectives are currently reviewing surveillance footage from the restaurant and surrounding businesses in an effort to identify the suspects and the getaway vehicle. No injuries were reported in connection with the break-in, and the restaurant's management is working with law enforcement to assess the total value of the stolen property and property damage.

Bridgeport Police are urging anyone with information about the incident or who may recognize the individuals in the surveillance video to contact the detective bureau. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through the department's dedicated tip line.
