Cicero Police Officers Hurt in Collision Linked to Roosevelt Road Gaming Parlor Burglaries

CICERO, Illinois โ€” Five people, including two police officers, were injured in a serious vehicle collision connected to a police pursuit of commercial burglary suspects early on April 6, 2026.

According to Cicero police, the incident began when officers responded to reports of burglaries targeting video gaming parlors near Roosevelt Road. The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle, initiating a chase that ended when a police cruiser collided with civilian vehicles at an intersection.

Two officers and three civilians suffered injuries and were hospitalized. Roosevelt Road was closed for several hours for cleanup and accident reconstruction. Authorities are currently searching for the burglary suspects who fled the crash scene on foot.
