Armed Suspect Robs DTLR Retail Store in Cleveland at Gunpoint

An active investigation is underway in Cleveland following an armed robbery at a local DTLR store. The retail establishment, known for its selection of trendy footwear, streetwear, and athletic apparel, was targeted by an armed individual during regular operating hours.

Gun Brandished Inside the Store

According to reports from the Cleveland Division of Police, a male suspect entered the storefront, approached the checkout counter, and brandished a handgun. The suspect demanded that employees empty the cash registers, threatening them if they did not comply. The store employees, prioritizing safety, complied with the demands and handed over the available cash.

Suspect Flees the Scene

After securing the funds, the suspect fled the building on foot. Officers arrived shortly after receiving the emergency call, establishing a search perimeter, but the suspect was not immediately located. Fortunately, no employees or customers inside the store were injured during the encounter, though the staff was left deeply shaken by the threat of violence.

Detectives are currently reviewing security footage from the store's interior cameras and neighboring commercial properties to obtain a clear description of the suspect. Police describe the suspect as a male who was carrying a black handgun.
