17-Year-Old Wanted for Murder Arrested Following Cleveland Dispensary Break-In

CLEVELAND, Ohio — A high-profile murder suspect is back in custody after local authorities apprehended him during an active break-in at a commercial dispensary on Cleveland's east side early Friday morning.

According to the Cleveland Division of Police, officers responded to an alarm trigger at a licensed cannabis dispensary in the city on the morning of February 14, 2025. Upon arriving at the scene, responding officers observed forced entry and established a perimeter around the business. A short pursuit ensued as the suspect attempted to flee the premises, but he was quickly cornered and taken into custody without further incident.

Fugitive Status Discovered

During the booking process, investigators identified the suspect as a 17-year-old male who was actively wanted on an outstanding warrant for murder. The juvenile, whose identity has been withheld due to his age, was wanted in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred earlier this year in the Cuyahoga County area.

Police recovered property stolen during the burglary, along with tools used to breach the dispensary's security system. Detectives are currently investigating whether the teen is linked to a string of recent commercial burglaries targeting similar establishments across Northeast Ohio.

Pending Charges

The suspect now faces additional charges of commercial breaking and entering, possessing criminal tools, and resisting arrest, alongside the initial murder charge. He is currently being held at the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Detention Center awaiting his initial court appearance.
