Masked Suspect Sought in Clifton Liquor Store Armed Robbery

CLIFTON, New Jersey — Local law enforcement authorities are requesting assistance from the public to identify and locate a masked suspect responsible for a brazen armed robbery at a Clifton liquor store.

According to initial police reports, the incident occurred during evening hours when an unidentified individual entered the commercial establishment wearing a face covering to conceal their identity. The suspect brandished a firearm, confronting the store staff and demanding contents of the cash register.

Fearing for their safety, the employees complied with the demands. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the scene on foot. Clifton police officers arrived shortly after receiving the emergency call and conducted a search of the immediate area, but no suspect was located.

Fortunately, no physical injuries were reported by the store workers during the encounter. Detectives are currently reviewing surveillance footage from the store and neighboring businesses to gather additional clues.
