Police Search for Burglars Who Invaded Clifton Home with Sleeping Residents Inside

CLIFTON, New Jersey — Law enforcement officers are asking the public for assistance in identifying a group of burglars who broke into a home in Clifton, New Jersey, while the residents were asleep inside, creating a highly dangerous scenario.

According to Clifton Police, the break-in took place during the quiet early morning hours. Home security camera footage shows the suspects accessing the residence through a rear entry point. Once inside, they moved cautiously through the lower level, ransacking drawers and cabinets in search of valuables, electronic devices, and car keys.

The homeowners remained asleep upstairs throughout the intrusion and only discovered the crime later that morning. Fortunately, there was no direct confrontation between the suspects and the residents, preventing potential violence. Clifton detectives are analyzing the video footage, which shows the suspects wearing hoods and masks to conceal their features.

Authorities are urging local residents to review their own external camera systems for any suspicious activity or unrecognized vehicles during the night of the incident.
