Police Deploy Taser to Subdue Man Attempting to Steal Vehicles From Daytona Beach Dealership

DAYTONA BEACH, FL — Police officers deployed a Taser to arrest a suspect accused of attempting to steal multiple vehicles from a local car dealership on Thursday afternoon.

According to authorities, the incident occurred at a dealership located in Daytona Beach. Staff members noticed a man acting suspiciously and attempting to gain access to several vehicles on the lot. When employees confronted him, the situation escalated, prompting an emergency call to local law enforcement.

When officers arrived at the scene, the suspect refused to comply with their commands and became combative. To resolve the situation safely and prevent the suspect from fleeing, an officer deployed a Taser, subduing the individual. He was subsequently taken into custody and evaluated by medical personnel before being booked into the local jail.

The suspect faces charges of attempted grand theft auto, resisting an officer without violence, and trespassing. No dealership employees or officers were reported injured during the incident.
