Daytona Beach Man Kicks Down Hotel Door, Claims Employment With 'Three-Letter Agency'

DAYTONA BEACH, FL — A bizarre incident at a local hotel resulted in the arrest of a Daytona Beach man who allegedly kicked down a guest room door while claiming to work for a government 'three-letter agency.'

According to reports from the responding officers, the suspect approached a hotel room, began shouting, and kicked the door until the frame splintered and it gave way. When confronted by terrified hotel occupants and staff, the suspect repeatedly asserted that he was conducting official business on behalf of a federal agency, referencing it only as a 'three-letter agency.'

Daytona Beach Police arrived shortly after the incident was reported. Officers detained the suspect, who continued to make erratic statements regarding his alleged government employment. He was arrested on charges of criminal mischief, trespassing, and burglary of an occupied dwelling, and was transported to the Volusia County Branch Jail.
