Multiple Dover Smoke Shops Targeted in String of Robberies and Burglaries

DOVER, Delaware — Local smoke shops and vape stores in the Dover area have become the focus of multiple police investigations following a series of burglaries, attempted break-ins, and armed robberies over the past several months.

In one of the most serious incidents, Delaware State Police are actively searching for two suspects armed with hatchets who carried out a robbery at a local smoke shop. The suspects entered the store, threatened employees with the weapons, and fled with stolen merchandise and cash.

Additionally, police have responded to several commercial burglaries. Among them, Cosmic Smoke was the target of a break-in attempt that resulted in the arrest of a local teenager. At another location, burglars resorted to breaking through a building wall to gain access, while another incident involved thieves shattering the storefront glass. Sky Vape Smoke Shop was also reported burglarized during this period. Dover Police continue to investigate these incidents and urge store owners to remain vigilant.
