EAST HAVEN, CT — A dropped high-end sneaker has become the central piece of evidence in a commercial burglary investigation at the East Haven CarMax dealership, local authorities reported. According to the East Haven Police Department, investigators recovered a single "Yeezy" sneaker at the crime scene, which ultimately proved vital in identifying the suspect involved in the break-in.

The incident occurred when suspects forced entry into the CarMax facility, attempting to steal vehicles or valuables from the premises. During their hasty escape from the scene as police responded, one of the intruders lost their shoe.
