Second Hamden Teenager Arrested in Connection with Violent Online Marketplace Robbery in East Haven

EAST HAVEN, CT — The East Haven Police Department has announced the arrest of a second Hamden teenager in connection with a violent street robbery stemming from an online marketplace transaction. The arrest marks a key development in the ongoing investigation into an incident that occurred during what was supposed to be a routine transaction between a buyer and a seller.

According to authorities, the incident unfolded when the victim arranged to meet a prospective buyer to sell an item listed on an online marketplace platform. However, once the parties met, the interaction quickly escalated into an armed street robbery. The suspects allegedly brandished a weapon and stole the victim's property before fleeing the scene.

Following an intensive investigation, East Haven police detectives identified and apprehended the second suspect, a juvenile from Hamden, charging him with multiple offenses including armed robbery and larceny. This arrest follows the prior apprehension of another Hamden teen in connection with the same crime.
