East Haven: Police Seek Help Identifying Suspects in Dollar City Armed Robbery

East Haven police are urgently asking for the public's assistance in identifying two individuals suspected of committing an armed robbery at a local dollar store earlier this week. The incident occurred on Tuesday at the Dollar City located on Hemingway Avenue.

Assault and Knife Threat

According to police reports, the confrontation began when a female suspect was caught attempting to leave the store with merchandise she had not paid for. When an employee confronted her about the theft, the situation quickly escalated, and the woman physically assaulted the worker.

As the woman and her male accomplice attempted to flee the scene following the assault, the man reportedly brandished a knife to intimidate store staff and secure their getaway. The pair then managed to escape the store.
