Failed ATM Theft Leaves Everett Business with Extensive Property Damage

EVERETT, Wash. — Local authorities are investigating a commercial burglary attempt that took place early Thursday morning, December 4, 2025, which caused substantial structural damage to an Everett business establishment.

According to police reports, suspects targeted a local business in an effort to extract or rip open the store's automated teller machine (ATM). Although the thieves were unsuccessful in accessing or stealing any cash from the machine, their heavy-handed methods resulted in extensive damage to the store's exterior walls, entryway, and interior layout.

Everett Police Department officers arrived at the scene after responding to automated commercial alarms. The perpetrators had already fled the area, leaving behind debris and a heavily damaged storefront. Business owners are currently evaluating the cost of repairs, which are estimated to run into thousands of dollars. Investigators are reviewing surveillance footage from the store and surrounding properties to identify the individuals and vehicles involved in the incident.
