Fairfax Vape Shops Ransacked in Burglary Spree; Suspect Arrested

FAIRFAX, VA — A series of early-morning burglaries targeting vape shops in Fairfax has come to an end following the arrest of a suspect. According to the Fairfax Police Department, the suspect was arrested shortly after ransacking multiple businesses during a rapid burglary spree.

The break-ins, which occurred on July 31, 2025, involved the suspect shattering the glass storefronts of the vape shops to gain quick entry. Once inside, the suspect ransacked shelves and display cases, grabbing electronic cigarettes, liquid refills, cash, and other valuable items. The rapid nature of the burglaries suggests they were carefully planned to maximize the haul before law enforcement could arrive.

Responding officers, acting on security alarms and witness descriptions, were able to track down and apprehend the suspect near one of the crime scenes. Police recovered a significant amount of the stolen merchandise, along with burglary tools, from the suspect's possession.

“This was a brazen crime spree that caused substantial damage to local retail businesses,” a police spokesperson said. “Thanks to the quick action of our officers, we were able to bring this spree to a halt and recover the stolen items.” The suspect is currently being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, facing charges of commercial burglary, grand larceny, and possession of burglary tools.
