Clerk Chases Down Thief After Cash Register Snatch at Fort Lauderdale Chicken Restaurant

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL — A dramatic security video has captured the moment a man snatched an entire cash register from a Fort Lauderdale chicken restaurant, only to be chased down by an employee. The restaurant's owner shared the footage, highlighting the bravery and quick reaction of the clerk on duty.

The incident took place during business hours when the suspect approached the counter and suddenly grabbed the cash register, pulling it from the counter connections. Before the thief could escape, the clerk immediately leapt into action, chasing the suspect out of the restaurant and down the street.

According to the owner, the clerk's determination prevented the thief from making off with the register's contents.
