Armed Home Invasion Suspect Arrested After Exchange of Gunfire in Fresno
FRESNO, California โ A Fresno man is behind bars following a terrifying home invasion robbery where shots were fired and multiple victims were held at gunpoint inside a local residence.
The incident occurred on the morning of Sunday, January 11, 2026. According to investigators, Fresno Police officers responded to a call of shots fired in the 10,000 block of North Satin Nickel Drive. Upon arrival, officers learned that the suspect, identified as Adam Delacruz, had arrived at the residence shortly after a female associate of the victim left. Delacruz reportedly fired two rounds through the front door to force his way inside.
Held at Gunpoint
Once inside, the armed suspect held three residents at gunpoint, demanding valuables. After obtaining several personal items from the victims, Delacruz fled the scene. Although shots were fired during the initial breach of the home, authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported from the gunfire.
Arrest and Recovery of Weapon
Following a rapid investigation, Fresno Police detectives identified Delacruz as the primary suspect. He was subsequently located and arrested without further incident. Officers also recovered the firearm believed to have been used during the residential robbery. Police officials stated that the robbery appeared to be an isolated incident and that the suspect was booked into the Fresno County Jail on multiple felony charges, including armed robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.
