Gainesville man arrested for battery, burglary, property damage, fleeing, and child abuse

GAINESVILLE, FL — A Gainesville resident has been arrested on a wide array of serious charges, including battery, burglary, property damage, fleeing from law enforcement, and child abuse, following a chaotic domestic incident that escalated rapidly.

Police officers were dispatched to a Gainesville home after receiving emergency calls regarding an ongoing break-in and domestic dispute. Upon arrival, officers determined that the suspect had forced his way into the residence, assaulted an occupant inside, and damaged household property. The situation escalated further when the suspect fled the scene in a vehicle, leading officers on a brief pursuit before being safely stopped and arrested.

Because the physical altercation and forced entry occurred in the immediate presence of minor children, the suspect faces additional charges of child abuse.
