Surveillance Video Captures Repeat Burglar Falling Through Ceiling of Homestead Storage Facility

HOMESTEAD, FL — Bizarre surveillance footage has captured the moment a suspected repeat burglar tumbled through the ceiling of a Homestead storage facility during an attempted heist.

The security video shows the suspect crawling through the crawlspace above the storage units before the ceiling panels gave way under his weight, sending him crashing down into one of the units. Investigators believe the suspect is responsible for multiple break-ins at the same facility, targeting valuable personal belongings stored by local residents.

Management at the storage facility reported the breach after discovering damaged drywall and scattered items. Homestead police detectives reviewed the high-definition footage, which provided a clear view of the suspect's face and clothing. The suspect, who is known to local law enforcement from prior offenses, is currently being sought by authorities.
