Police Search for Suspect Accused of Waterfront Robbery in Homestead

HOMESTEAD, PA — Allegheny County police are actively searching for a suspect wanted in connection with an armed robbery and a series of other crimes committed at The Waterfront shopping center in Homestead.

Authorities reported that the suspect approached a victim in the parking lot of the popular retail district, brandishing a weapon and demanding personal belongings. In addition to the robbery, police state that the suspect is facing charges for several other offenses committed in the surrounding area over the past few weeks, including retail theft and receiving stolen property.

The Waterfront, a large open-air shopping mall situated along the Monongahela River, is heavily monitored by security cameras. Investigators have released images of the suspect captured by surveillance systems and are calling on the public to help identify him.
