FBI Launches Hunt for 'Coverall Crook' Connected to Grocery Store Bank Robberies

HOUSTON, Texas — The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has launched a search for a serial bank robber dubbed the "Coverall Crook," who is suspected of robbing multiple bank branches situated inside grocery stores in northwest Houston.

According to federal agents, the suspect has targeted several supermarket-based bank branches, wearing distinctive coveralls during the crimes. This pattern has allowed investigators to link the robberies to the same individual. During each incident, the suspect approached the teller, demanded money, and fled on foot into the surrounding parking lots. The FBI has released surveillance photographs showcasing the suspect's attire and physical build in hopes that the public can assist in identification.

The FBI's Houston Field Office is collaborating with local police departments to track down the suspect. Anyone with information regarding the identity or whereabouts of the "Coverall Crook" is urged to submit a tip online at tips.fbi.gov or call the FBI Houston office. A reward may be available for information leading to an arrest.
