Burglars Steal $5,000 in Funko Pop Collectibles from Joliet Residence

JOLIET, IL — A Joliet homeowner is mourning the loss of a prized collectible collection after thieves broke into a local residence and made off with thousands of dollars worth of Funko Pop figurines, police said.

According to the Joliet Police Department, the residential burglary occurred on January 7, 2026. The victim reported that someone forced entry into their home and specifically targeted a large collection of Funko Pop figurines, valued at approximately $5,000.

Detectives are investigating the break-in and looking into whether the collector was targeted by someone who had prior knowledge of the valuable collection. Police have urged local hobby shops, online resellers, and pawn shops to report any suspicious bulk listings of the popular collectible figurines.
