Kalamazoo Police Search for Armed Suspect Who Shot at Pharmacy Employee During Robbery

KALAMAZOO, MI — The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety is actively investigating a violent overnight commercial robbery where a suspect fired a gunshot at a pharmacy employee.

According to police reports, the incident occurred during the late-night hours. The suspect entered the pharmacy armed with a firearm, confronted an employee, and demanded compliance. During the encounter, the suspect discharged one round in the direction of the worker before fleeing the scene with undisclosed items.

Fortunately, the employee was not struck by the gunfire and did not sustain physical injuries. Officers arrived shortly after the shooting but were unable to locate the suspect in the immediate vicinity.
