Las Cruces Police Arrest Two More Teens in Strykers Shooting World Burglary

LAS CRUCES, New Mexico — The Las Cruces Police Department has announced the arrest of two more teenagers connected to the smash-and-grab burglary at Strykers Shooting World in late November. The latest arrests bring the total number of juvenile suspects in custody for the heist to six, authorities confirmed on Wednesday.

The incident occurred around 2:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the gun store located at 415 S. Valley Drive. Investigators believe a group of six to eight teenage boys utilized a stolen red Kia Forte to crash through an eastside gate and a rollup garage door of the business to gain entry. Once inside, the group quickly snatched several firearms before fleeing the scene in a second stolen vehicle, a gray Kia Forte.

A nearby patrol officer heard the store's security alarm and discovered the break-in shortly after the suspects had fled. An intensive investigation launched in partnership with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) led detectives to identify the group of youths involved.

According to police, the six teenagers arrested so far range in age from 14 to 16. Due to their status as minors, their names and identifying information have not been released. The suspects face a series of serious charges, including aggravated burglary with a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit aggravated burglary, breaking and entering, criminal damage to property over $1,000, larceny of firearms over $2,500, tampering with evidence, and unlawful possession of a handgun by a person under 19. One 16-year-old is also charged with receiving stolen property.

Local police and federal agents have successfully recovered several of the stolen firearms, though the investigation remains active as authorities seek to recover the remaining weapons and locate any other potential accomplices involved in the heist.
