Livingston Police Investigate Residential Break-In Amid Mall Burglary Reports

LIVINGSTON, New Jersey — Law enforcement officers in Livingston are investigating a residential break-in that has raised concerns among local homeowners. The burglary occurred on the same day that police responded to commercial break-ins, including a jewelry store heist at the nearby Livingston Mall.

According to police reports, suspects gained entry to a local home by forcing open a rear door while the residents were away. The intruders ransacked several rooms and fled with personal belongings, including electronics and jewelry. Police were dispatched to the residence after neighbors noticed suspicious activity and called 911.

The Livingston Police Department is examining whether the residential burglary is connected to the commercial break-ins reported in the area on the same day. Residents are being reminded to lock all doors and windows, set home security alarms, and report any unfamiliar vehicles or individuals loitering in their neighborhoods.
