Lynchburg Police Arrest Man Following Break-In at Local Bojangles Restaurant
LYNCHBURG, VA — A local man has been arrested and charged after allegedly breaking into a Bojangles restaurant in Lynchburg early Thursday morning with the intent to steal money.
The incident occurred on April 23, 2026, when Lynchburg Police Department officers responded to an active commercial alarm at the restaurant. Upon arriving at the scene, officers observed signs of forced entry through one of the building's access points. A perimeter was quickly established around the property to prevent any potential escape.
According to police reports, officers entered the building and located a male suspect inside the premises. The individual was found attempting to access cash registers and safe storage areas. He was detained without further incident and taken into custody.
The suspect, whose identity has not yet been fully released pending formal charges and arraignment, faces multiple charges including commercial burglary, grand larceny, and possession of burglary tools. Damage to the property was reported but was restricted to the point of entry and minor disruptions to the store interior.
