Suspect Arrested in Marietta Subway Robbery Linked by FBI to a Dozen Metro Holdups

MARIETTA, GA — A routine investigation into the armed robbery of a local Subway restaurant has culminated in the capture of a suspected serial offender. According to federal and local authorities, the suspect is believed to be responsible for nearly a dozen similar holdups throughout the metro Atlanta area.

The arrest followed a joint effort by local law enforcement and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The suspect initially drew the attention of Marietta Police after allegedly robbing a Subway location in the city. Using surveillance footage, witness statements, and forensic evidence, detectives were able to positively identify the suspect, leading to his swift arrest.

However, the scope of the investigation expanded rapidly. The FBI subsequently revealed that the perpetrator's methods and physical description matched those of a suspect wanted in connection with a series of armed robberies across multiple jurisdictions. In total, authorities are linking the individual to at least eleven other business holdups in the region.

The suspect faces multiple state charges, including armed robbery and aggravated assault, with federal charges also pending. Law enforcement officials praised the coordination between municipal agencies and the FBI, noting that removing this individual from the streets prevents further escalation of commercial robberies in the metropolitan area.
