No Bond for Florida Memorial University Football Player Implicated in Dormitory Invasion

MIAMI GARDENS, FL — A Florida Memorial University (FMU) football player arrested in connection with an armed dormitory invasion robbery will remain behind bars after a judge denied him bond during a weekend court appearance.

The student-athlete appeared before a Miami-Dade judge to face serious felony charges, including armed burglary, home invasion, and robbery. Prosecutors argued that due to the violent nature of the crime, which took place inside a secure campus living space, the defendant posed a direct threat to the safety of the university community.

During the bond hearing, prosecutors detailed how the suspect and another individual allegedly forced their way into a student dorm room while carrying firearms, demanding possessions from terrified students.
