Armed Robbery Under Investigation at New Haven Vape Shop on Whalley Avenue

NEW HAVEN, CT — Police are actively investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a vape shop located on Whalley Avenue in New Haven. Authorities were dispatched to the retail business following reports of a brandished weapon and theft of store merchandise and cash.

According to initial reports from the New Haven Police Department, a suspect entered the establishment, showed a weapon to the employee on duty, and demanded valuables. The worker complied with the demands, and the suspect fled the scene shortly thereafter. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the encounter.

Detectives have been reviewing surveillance footage from the store and surrounding properties on Whalley Avenue to obtain a clear description of the perpetrator.
