Man Arrested and Charged After Threatening Odessa Auto Parts Employees with Box Cutter

ODESSA, Texas — A local man has been arrested and charged in connection with an armed robbery at an Odessa auto parts store, during which he allegedly threatened employees with a box cutter knife. The incident occurred on April 4, 2025.

According to police reports, the suspect entered the store and attempted to leave with merchandise without paying. When confronted by store employees, the suspect pulled out a box cutter and aggressively warned the staff, shouting, 'Get back before I get y'all with it.' Fearing for their safety, the employees backed away, and the suspect fled the premises.

Odessa Police officers were dispatched to the location and were able to locate the suspect nearby shortly after the incident. He was taken into custody without further incident and booked into the Ector County Detention Center on charges of aggravated robbery. The box cutter used during the commission of the crime was recovered by police. No injuries were reported.
