Investigation Continues into Raleigh Home Invasion that Injured Resident

RALEIGH, N.C. — Local authorities are investigating a home invasion that left a Raleigh resident injured earlier this week. The suspect fled the scene and remains at large, according to police reports.

Officers with the Raleigh Police Department were dispatched to the residence following reports of a break-in. Upon arrival, police located a female victim who had sustained injuries during the confrontation. First responders treated her at the scene before she was transported to a local hospital for further medical evaluation.

Investigators believe the perpetrator forced entry into the home before confronting the victim. The suspect fled immediately after the assault. Police have not disclosed whether any items were stolen during the home invasion.
