Within a relatively short span of time, multiple high-profile incidents—ranging from armed smash-and-grab jewelry store robberies to highly coordinated multi-suspect home invasions—have raised serious security concerns across the region.

In one of the major commercial incidents, a jewelry store located inside a prominent Richmond Hill shopping center was targeted by multiple suspects.
