Three Accused of Stealing Copper Wire from New Roseville Housing Development

ROSEVILLE, CA — Local authorities have apprehended three individuals suspected of stealing copper wire from a new housing development currently under construction in Roseville. The arrests highlight a persistent challenge for builders and law enforcement as regional development continues to expand.

According to police reports, officers responded to a call regarding suspicious activity at the construction site during the early hours of the morning. Upon arrival, officers discovered the suspects in the process of extracting and loading valuable copper wire from the unfinished structures.

A Growing Target for Metal Theft

Copper theft has remained a lucrative enterprise for thieves due to high scrap metal prices.
