Standoff Ends with Arrest of San Marcos Man After CVS Burglary in Round Rock

ROUND ROCK, Texas — An early morning commercial break-in escalated into a high-stakes standoff at a local CVS Pharmacy, ending with the arrest of a San Marcos man on Tuesday.

According to the Round Rock Police Department, officers responded to a burglary alarm at a CVS store in the early hours of December 2, 2025. Upon arrival, responding units discovered evidence of forced entry and determined that a suspect was still inside the commercial building.

When officers attempted to contact the individual, the suspect barricaded himself inside the pharmacy, refusing verbal commands to exit and surrender. The situation quickly escalated, prompting police to establish a secure perimeter and deploy specialized tactical units to handle the barricaded suspect safely.
