SUV Smashes Into Smyrna Vape Shop in Suspected Smash-and-Grab Burglary

SMYRNA, Tennessee — A local vape shop in Smyrna sustained extensive structural damage after an SUV was driven straight through the storefront in what police believe was a planned smash-and-grab burglary.

Severe Damage to Storefront After SUV Crash

The incident took place in the early hours of Thursday, February 6, 2025. According to responding officers, a large SUV rammed the front of the business, completely shattering the glass windows and damaging the metal support frames. The impact allowed the suspects to quickly enter the store and target high-value merchandise.

The store owner arrived shortly after the alarm was triggered to find the storefront completely open to the elements. Store staff are currently assessing inventory to determine the exact extent of the stolen goods, in addition to dealing with the substantial cleanup and repair costs.

Ongoing Investigation

Smyrna police are reviewing camera footage from the shop and neighboring businesses. Investigators are looking for a dark-colored SUV with significant rear-end or front-end damage. Authorities are asking anyone who saw suspicious vehicle activity on the night of the crash to contact investigators.
