Three Stamford Teens Arrested After Armed Robbery and Assault at Target Store

STAMFORD, CT — A group of three Stamford teenagers has been arrested following a chaotic incident involving an armed robbery and physical assault at the local Target store, police officials confirmed.

According to Stamford police, the incident unfolded when the three juveniles attempted to steal items from the retail store. When confronted by store security and employees, the teenagers became combative. One of the suspects reportedly brandished a weapon, escalating the shoplifting attempt into an armed robbery. During the ensuing struggle, a store employee was assaulted and suffered minor injuries.

Responding police officers quickly arrived at the Broad Street Target location and were able to apprehend all three suspects nearby after a brief foot chase. The teens, whose names have been withheld due to their minor status, face charges of first-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, assault, and breach of peace.

The injured Target employee was evaluated by emergency medical services at the scene. Stamford police highlighted that the swift response of patrol officers prevented the situation from escalating further and ensured the quick arrest of the suspects.
