Starbucks Drive-Thru Homicide Suspect Linked to Prior Armed Robbery

ST. LOUIS, MO — A local mother claims that the suspect recently arrested in connection with a tragic shooting at a Starbucks drive-thru had robbed her at gunpoint just days before the homicide occurred.

The victim shared her story after seeing the suspect's mugshot in the news following the Starbucks incident, where a customer was fatally shot while waiting in the drive-thru lane. According to the mother, she was targeted at another drive-thru in the St. Louis area. The gunman approached her vehicle, brandished a firearm, and demanded her personal belongings before running off.

St. Louis detectives are now cross-referencing the two cases, investigating whether the same firearm was used and if the suspect is responsible for a larger pattern of drive-thru robberies in the metropolitan area. The suspect remains held without bond as prosecutors consider additional armed robbery charges.
