Overnight Commercial Burglaries Shatter Windows of Toms River Bagel Shop and Deli

TOMS RIVER, New Jersey — Storefront windows were left shattered and cash was reported stolen following overnight burglaries at a local bagel shop and a deli in Toms River. Authorities are actively searching for the individual responsible for the targeted commercial break-ins.

Responding officers arrived at the businesses to find the front glass doors completely destroyed. According to investigators, the suspect used heavy objects to smash through the glass entryways, creating enough space to crawl inside. Once inside, the perpetrator ransacked the counter areas and stole cash before departing prior to police arrival.

The Toms River Police Department's Detective Bureau is leading the investigation. Crime scene investigators have collected physical evidence from the shattered entryways, and police are currently canvassing the area for additional security video.
