Teenager Charged in Troy Convenience Store Robbery

A youth is in custody facing robbery charges after an incident at a convenience store in Troy. The Troy Police Department confirmed that a 15-year-old male was arrested shortly after the robbery occurred.

The Robbery

The incident took place during the evening hours when the teenager entered the convenience store, threatened the clerk, and demanded cash and merchandise. The suspect then fled the store on foot. Fortunately, the store clerk was not physically harmed during the encounter and was able to quickly dial emergency services.

Arrest and Charges

Responding officers flooded the area and located a suspect matching the description provided by the victim. The 15-year-old was taken into custody and found to be in possession of stolen cash and items. Due to his age, the suspect's identity is being withheld. He has been charged as a juvenile with robbery and grand larceny, and his case has been referred to family court for further adjudication.
