Deputies Hunt for Burglar Following $1,200 Commercial Theft from West Palm Beach Pool Store
WEST PALM BEACH, FL โ The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office (PBSO) has launched an active investigation and is requesting public assistance to identify a burglar who targeted a local pool supply store, escaping with more than $1,200 worth of merchandise and equipment.
Midnight Break-In at Local Pool Supplier
According to deputies, the commercial burglary took place in the early morning hours of April 3, 2026. The suspect forced entry through a rear door of the business located in West Palm Beach. Once inside, the intruder systematically targeted high-value pool maintenance equipment, chemical testing kits, and commercial-grade pumps.
Store owners discovered the break-in upon opening the business the following morning, noting significant damage to the entrance and missing inventory. The total value of the stolen goods is estimated to exceed $1,200, excluding the cost of property damage inflicted during the entry.
Surveillance Footage and Suspect Description
Investigators have recovered surveillance footage from both the business's interior cameras and neighboring establishments. The suspect is described as a male wearing dark clothing, a hood, and gloves to conceal his identity. Deputies are currently analyzing the footage to trace the suspect's path of arrival and escape route, which is believed to involve a getaway vehicle parked nearby.
PBSO has released screenshots from the surveillance video in hopes that a member of the community might recognize the suspect's build, clothing, or general movements.
Call for Public Assistance
Business owners in the area are encouraged to review their own security footage from the night of April 3 for any suspicious activity. Anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect or the whereabouts of the stolen pool equipment is urged to contact the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-458-TIPS.
