Wichita Falls Police Hunt for Convenience Store Robbery Suspect as Local Trials Proceed

WICHITA FALLS, Texas — The Wichita Falls Police Department is requesting public assistance in identifying a suspect responsible for a convenience store robbery that took place on January 29, 2024.

According to police reports, an unidentified male entered a local convenience store, threatened the staff, and demanded cash before fleeing the scene. Officers have released surveillance images of the suspect in hopes that members of the community can identify him. This incident highlights ongoing safety concerns for retail employees in the area, following previous high-profile cases including the tragic murder of a Stripes convenience store clerk, where the suspect's trial date was recently delayed in February 2024.

In a separate but related development demonstrating the police department's continued focus on commercial crimes, another Wichita Falls man was arrested in late April 2026 following a weekend convenience store robbery. The Wichita Falls Police Department continues to step up patrols around late-night retail locations.
