Aggravated burglary and assault in Seal
Assault reported during residential burglary in Seal
According to an article published on 5 January 2026 by Kentonline, a man in his 40s was threatened and attacked with a hammer during a break-in at a property on Seal High Street, near Sevenoaks. The incident occurred on the evening of Saturday, December 27.
Kentonline reports that several men allegedly entered the home, where they assaulted the victim and damaged a mobile phone. A chain and cash were also reported stolen during the event. Following a police investigation, three men were arrested between December 29 and December 30.
Numan Ahmed, 36, of Sandgate Road, Folkestone, has been charged with offences including aggravated burglary and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He appeared at Sevenoaks Magistrates' Court and has been bailed to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on January 26. Two other men, aged 29 and 25, remain on bail pending further investigation into the matter.
