Police investigation leads to arrest of burglary victim
According to an article published by the Mirror on 12 March 2026, police were called to a private home in Folkestone following reports of an aggravated burglary. The resident, Morgan Carter, reported that two masked intruders had threatened him at knifepoint and stolen valuables, including a Rolex watch, designer clothing, and a sovereign ring.
Mirror reports that upon arriving at the scene, officers noted the smell of cannabis and discovered evidence of drug activity. A subsequent search of the property led to the discovery of 158g of cocaine, digital scales, an extendable metal baton, and ยฃ4,500 in cash. Further analysis of the resident's phone revealed messages indicating his involvement in the supply of controlled substances.
Carter, 25, pleaded guilty to charges including possession of cocaine with intent to supply and possession of an offensive weapon. He was sentenced to two-and-a-half years in prison at Canterbury Crown Court. The court noted that the defendant had previously received a suspended sentence for similar offences in 2022.
