Violent home invasion reported in Omagh

According to an article published on 28 May 2026 by Belfastlive, a 28-year-old man was badly beaten during an aggravated burglary at a residence in Culmore Park, Omagh. The incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Belfastlive reports that three men wearing face coverings forced entry into the property by smashing a window in a rear door shortly before 2 am. Once inside, the intruders assaulted the occupant with metal bars and stole his mobile phone before fleeing the scene. The victim received medical treatment for his injuries, which included a head wound.

The PSNI has released descriptions of the suspects, noting that all three wore face coverings and baseball caps. One suspect wore a grey Adidas hoody, while the others were dressed in dark jackets and jeans. Detectives are currently investigating the incident and have requested that anyone with relevant information or footage contact Omagh CID quoting reference 117 28/05/26.
