According to an article published on 6 April 2026 by Belfastlive, a man was assaulted and tied up during an aggravated burglary at a property on Whitebridge Road in Dungannon. The incident occurred on Easter Sunday at approximately 9:30 pm.
Belfastlive reports that the victim was parked in his van outside his home when a white van pulled up behind him. Upon exiting his vehicle, he was confronted by two males wearing dark clothing, balaclavas, and gloves. The victim was wrestled to the ground, punched, kicked in the head and body, and struck with a baseball bat. The assailants then tied the man up while they ransacked both the house and the van. A quantity of cash, keys, and a phone were stolen during the incident.
Police were notified of the event at approximately 11:30 pm. Authorities are currently conducting enquiries and have appealed for anyone with information, CCTV, or dash-cam footage to contact them.
