Aggravated Robbery in St Austell

Police in St Austell are investigating an aggravated robbery that occurred at a local shop on Friday, 23rd September. The incident took place at a convenience store on Treverbyn Road, where two masked men entered the premises around 9:30 PM. The suspects, armed with a knife and a baseball bat, threatened the shopkeeper and demanded cash from the till.

The shopkeeper, a 45-year-old man, was injured during the incident. He was treated at the scene by paramedics and later taken to hospital for further treatment. The robbers escaped with an estimated £500 in cash. Police have not yet made any arrests and are appealing for witnesses to come forward with any information that could aid their investigation. They are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area around the time of the robbery. The police have also released CCTV footage of the suspects, showing two men wearing masks and dark clothing.
