Appeal following burglary at storage facility near Shrewsbury

An investigation is underway following a major burglary at a commercial storage facility located just outside Shrewsbury. Officers from West Mercia Police have launched a public appeal for information, urging any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to contact them.

The break-in is believed to have taken place between late evening and the early hours of the morning. Intruders managed to bypass perimeter fencing to gain access to the site, where they forced open locks on several individual storage units. A variety of valuable items were reported stolen, including professional-grade power tools, gardening equipment, and sentimental personal belongings stored by local families.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Investigating officers are currently reviewing security footage from the site and surrounding roadways. A police spokesperson stated: "We are particularly keen to speak to anyone who noticed suspicious vehicles—especially transit vans—parked or driving slowly near the facility during the night. The stolen items are of high value, and we are working to track down those responsible."
