Armed Gang Robs Great Wall Chinese Takeaway in Hull; Two Hospitalized and Five Arrested

Two people were hospitalized following a violent, early-morning aggravated burglary at a Chinese takeaway in west Hull on Thursday, 8 August 2024. The incident unfolded just before 4:00 AM at the Great Wall Chinese takeaway situated on Newstead Street.

According to police reports, a group of men armed with weapons broke into the premises, threatening the people inside and inflicting injuries. The suspects stole a sum of money from the business before making their escape from the scene.

Following the attack, emergency services were called, and two individuals were transported to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. Humberside Police launched an immediate search for the perpetrators, leading to a successful interception on the A15 in Lincoln, where roads policing officers stopped the suspects' vehicle. Five men were arrested and taken into custody in connection with the armed robbery.
