Armed Robber Holds Up Subway Worker at Gunpoint in Adelanto

ADELANTO, Calif. — A hunt is underway for an armed suspect who held up a Subway sandwich shop employee at gunpoint in Adelanto, authorities announced on Tuesday.

According to reports from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, the incident occurred at the Subway restaurant located in Adelanto. An unidentified male entered the establishment, brandished a handgun, and confronted the cashier behind the counter. Under the threat of violence, the employee complied with the suspect's demands and handed over cash from the register.

The suspect fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of money before deputies arrived. Fortunately, the employee was not physically injured during the encounter, though the ordeal left the victim shaken. Sheriff's deputies responded immediately and searched the vicinity, but the robber managed to evade capture. Investigators are reviewing surveillance footage from the store and surrounding businesses in an effort to identify the suspect.
