Armed Robbers Mace Victim at Margate Nail Supply Store

MARGATE, FL — Margate police detectives are searching for suspects involved in a violent armed robbery at a local nail supply store, during which a victim was sprayed with mace. The incident was reported in the local crime blotter on August 6, 2025.

According to police reports, the suspects entered the commercial establishment and confronted an individual inside. During the altercation, one of the robbers produced and discharged a chemical agent, believed to be mace, directly at the victim's face to temporarily incapacitate them. The suspects then seized store merchandise and personal belongings before fleeing the scene.

Emergency medical personnel arrived shortly after the incident to treat the victim for chemical exposure and minor injuries; fortunately, no life-threatening injuries were reported. Detectives are reviewing security footage from the store and neighboring retail businesses in an attempt to identify the suspects. The Margate Police Department requests that anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area at the time of the robbery contact investigators.
